Note : If .NET Framework 3.5 has to be installed
(installation is prompted by the “Setup Wizard”), the
installation must be restarted after the .NET Framework
installation has been completed, i.e., open the CD menu
(see step 3) and click “Install PyroMark Q96 Software”.
5. When the software has been successfully installed, click
“Exit Setup” in the CD menu.
6. Please use Windows Update
(www.update.microsoft.com) to check for any critical
updates to the .NET Framework 3.5.
6.3 Uninstalling PyroMark Q96 Software
1. Select “Control Panel” in the Windows “Start” menu.
2. If using Microsoft Windows XP, click “Add or Remove
Programs”; if using Microsoft Windows 7, click
“Programs” and then “Programs and Features”.
3. In the list of programs, select “PyroMark Q96”.
4. Click “Remove” (XP) or “Uninstall” (7).
6.4 Upgrading from PyroMark Q96 ID
Software
Previous versions of PyroMark Q96 ID Software stored
Pyrosequencing runs in an Oracle database. Users
upgrading to the new PyroMark Q96 Software must first use
the PyroMark Data Converter Tool to convert this run
database into a format that is compatible with the new
software.
Note : This procedure should only be followed by users
upgrading from the old PyroMark Q96 ID Software.
Important : The PyroMark Data Converter Tool is only
compatible with Microsoft Windows XP. Users also planning
to upgrade to Windows 7 must convert their data into the
new format before upgrading their operating system. Runs
which cannot be converted (refer to 6.4.2) cannot be
accessed with the new PyroMark Q96 Software.
