When a run is started, the flashing “Information” light will
turn off and the “Busy” light will illuminate. Keep the lid
closed during a run.
If the “Information” light illuminates during a run, the
operator’s computer has lost contact with the instrument.
5.2.2 Starting the PyroMark Q96 Software
1. In the Windows “Start” menu, select
“(All) programs/PyroMark/PyroMark Q96”.
2. The PyroMark Q96 Software User Guide can be accessed
at any time by pressing the “F1” key when in the
software.
5.3 Preparing a run
5.3.1 Setting up an assay
1. In the shortcut browser, right-click the folder you want to
place the assay in, and select “New Assay” followed by
the desired assay type (AQ, CpG, SNP, or SQA) from the
context menu.
Note : To add a shortcut to a folder or drive, click “Add
Folder Shortcut”.
2. Click in the toolbar to enter a run name and save the
file in the desired folder.
Note : You cannot use the same name as another file
saved in the same folder.
3. If creating an AQ, CpG, or SNP assay, type or paste the
sequence to analyze into the “Sequence to Analyze” text
box and then click the “Generate Dispensation Order”
button. If creating a CpG assay, enter the sequence after
the bisulfite treatment. If entering an SQA assay, enter
the dispensation order.
4. Click in the toolbar.
Note : Before running your samples, validate your assay
using a reference DNA sample.
Note : When using QIAGEN kits, use the settings stated
in the kit handbooks.
