EZ1 Advanced XL User Manual 11/2017

Change the dialog field

COM Port Number

to “COM1”.

The USB port is now mapped to COM port 1. Always use COM Port 1 to work with the EZ1
Advanced XL.

4.4.3

Installing the EZ1 Advanced Communicator software

Insert the CD labeled

EZ1 Advanced Communicator Software

into the PC. The software will

automatically start

setup.exe

The installation wizard will guide you through the installation process.

Note

: To open the user interface of the EZ1 Advanced Communicator, double-click on the EZ1

icon in the lower system bar.

The user interface opens.

Select

Options

and open the

EZ1 Advanced Serial Port

window.

Check the

COM1

box.

The EZ1 Advanced Communicator software is now ready to receive data from the EZ1 Advanced
XL. In order to check the connectivity between the PC and EZ1 Advanced XL, use the test described
in Section 5.9.3.
