Step 1:
Attach the brackets to the Boss Bars as shown in Figure 1. Tighten the bolts hand tight.
Step 2:
Remove the bolts from the body mounts located under the cab of the truck. Position the Boss Bar assembly up to the
body mounts and install with the metric bolts provided in the bolt kit.
Step 3:
Tighten and the body mount bolts and the 1/2” Boss Bar bolts.
Step 4:
Drill a 21/64” hole on the inside edge of the boss bar. Drill the hole about 3” from the main bracket for the front and 7”
from the main bracket for the rear. Attach the support straps to the drilled holes using the 3/8” self threading bolts.
Position the support straps as shown then tighten.
NOTE: the rear strap is longer than the front strap.
Step 5:
Make sure the Boss Bar is level, then fasten the top of the support straps to the body channel under the cab of the truck
using the 1/4” self drilling screws.
Note
: PUTCO recommends applying a high quality automotive wax to maintain the original appearance on your new
Boss
Bars.

as long as you own your vehicle. Black products have a 90 day warranty on the painted surface. Any defects resulting
from faulty material or workmanship will be warranted by Putco and repaired or replaced at our discretion. Putco
assumes no extra labor costs. Damages caused by freight carriers, improper installation, misuse, collision, or neglect
will not be warranted by Putco.
