29. Apply adhesive on the support as
shown, then spread it evenly. Apply the
door skin, rub down and be careful to
position it so that there is a fine gap
between the door skin and the opening.
Once cured, you can further sand the
edges as needed to achieve a non-
binding fit. Later, you will use a magnet
to keep the door closed. You can insert
a finger nail under the door skin to open
the door.

Left Aft Side Skin:

1. Before moving on to the left aft side
skin, you will be trimming and
positioning some other skins first. This
is because the LE of the aft side skins
need to align with the LE of the turtle
deck skin. To start, you first need to
rough trim the fuse top skin. This is the
large skin that covers the top of the fuse
from the cowl to the turtle deck area.

Rough trim the top skin by maximizing
the useable area. Again, what that
means is to trim at the mold bend where
the fuse contours begin. Laying the skin
on the fuse will help you to discern
these mold bends. Highlight the last few
rivets near the aft edge as shown
above.

2. Rough trim the left aft side skin and
the turtle deck skin, again maximizing
the useable area. Highlight the front
column of rivets and the first few in the
rows on each of these skins.
