NOTE:
For details on the water level required to operate the pump,
refer to "Water level during operation" on page 24 of this
manual.
•
The delivery hose can be routed vertically or
horizontally, but without sharp bents.
•
When using the hose as a pipe to the pump, observe the
following:
Use the shortest possible length of delivery hose and
minimize the amount of bends. Make sure that the end of
the hose (delivery side) is raised above the water level. If the
end of the hose is submerged in water, water may flow back
when the pump is stopped. If the end of the hose is lower
than the level of the water source, water may continue to
flow after the pump has stopped.
WARNING :
Sucking in excessive amounts of sediment can cause
damage to the pump, resulting in possible
overheating or electric shock hazard.
NOTE:
The user must provide suitable piping materials. Piping material is not included.
•
The pump must be positioned vertically during operation. If the pump is at risk of sinking into sediment,
place it on a base (e.g.: concrete blocks).
5.3 Electric installation
Basic safety instructions
•
All wiring work must be checked by a certified electrician. Comply with all local laws and regulations.
•
Before starting work on the device, make sure the device and control panel are disconnected from the
power supply and cannot be turned on. This also applies to the control circuit.
•
Leaks in electrical components can cause damage to the device or blow a fuse.
•
Keep the motor cable end above the liquid level.
•
Check that all unused wires are insulated.
•
There is a risk of electric shock if the wiring is not connected correctly or if the product is defective or
damaged.
WARNING
:
Do not install the starter in an area with an explosion hazard unless it is certified for such use.
