4 General information
4.1 Application
PUMPA submersible motors are specially designed for operation underwater, as drive
devices for various torsionally stressed loads, such as pumps for:
•
drinking water supply,
•
domestic wells, pressure booster pumps and agricultural facilities,
•
drainage, pressure multiplication, irrigation systems,
•
process water supply,
•
heating systems using groundwater.
•
Maximum of 30 starts per hour; wait 60 seconds between consecutive starts.
•
Maximum immersion depth is 200 metres.
Improper use of PUMPA submersible electric motors, such as pumping air or explosive media, is strictly
prohibited.
Attention!
You can find out the required motor cooling from the etched motor nameplate. If the
cooling flow is not sufficient, install an inductor extension
.
