Internal Temperature Compensation 

The FlowCERT Lite can also be used with a dB3 transducer fitted with twin 
Pulsar sunshields, allowing a more localised compensation of the measured 
distance due to changes in temperature 

Parts supplied in the sun shield kit should be:

The upper sun shield is held in place by the mounting bracket and the M20 
nut.  The bracket can be fixed 

using the supplied ‘U’ bolts.

   

The assembly should be mounted perpendicular to the water surface at the 
correct position as specified by the structure designer/manufacturer. 
 

 

Important Information 

The temperature sensor should be placed close to the point of measurement 
and out of the effects of direct sunlight. This allows for the temperature sensor 
to measure the true air temperature, thereby giving the most accurate results.
