CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
When using the Pro-Blend Mixer, most containers have adequate head space to vent during the mixing
process. If containers do not have enough head space, product may discharge from vent pathway.
To maximize the performance, service life, and safety when using the Pro-Blend Mixer, it is
recommended to perform period cleaning.
Process #1 - Cleaning Wet Product
If the Pro-Blend Coupler vent is clogged or restricted with wet
product complete the following procedures. Use the #8564
Pro-Blend Rinsing Socket to remove wet product and residual
debris. Remember to always use the required personal protective
equipment as per the product label.
Prior to use:
Make sure the Rinsing Socket is stable and secured
to a work surface. Make sure the barbed inlet of the Rinsing
Socket is connected to an air, water, or suitable solvent source.
1. Connect the Pro-Blend to the Pro-Blend Rinsing Socket in
the same manner as connect with a container valve.
2. On the vent pathway on the coupler, connect a discharge
hose to the 1/4” NPT inlet. Direct the discharge hose to a
suitable disposal container.
Note: In cases where the product can be diluted
with the solvent, the rinsate can be directed back
to the product container.
3. Engage the handle on the Coupler before turning on the air
or solvent flow.
4. When pumping, whether air or solvent is used to clean the
coupler, ensure that low pressure is utilized.
The objective is to remove product and particulates from
the pathway in a safe controlled manner.
5. When satisfied that the Pro-Blend coupler is sufficiently
clean, turn off the air or solvent flow. Only after turning off
the flow, disengage the Pro-Blend from the Rinsing Socket.
6. Place the Pro-Blend on an absorbent material
and allow to dry.
