file remains intact, and the compiled file is given
the same name, but with a
*.hex
extension. It is this
*.hex
file
that is downloaded into the portable.
• When compilation is complete, the
PPGXFER
window opens, dis-
playing the message

• If a connection between the PC and the PDT is successfully estab-
lished, the window shows further messages as the compiled
*.hex
file is loaded into the portable.

PPGXFER
window, and your applica-
tion’s initial window appears in the portable’s display.
15. Double-click on the
PPGXFER
window's
Control Menu
box or select
File
> Exit
to close the
PPGXFER
window.
