Data Collection with PT40 Software Applications

Switching Applications
The PT40 can have as many as 4 different applications in memory, any one of
which can be selected and run. To move to a different application from the
application currently running, you must initiate a special key-sequence on the
keypad. Simultaneously press the
<SH>+<CLR>+<ENT>
keys to put the cur-
rently running application on hold. A special dialog display opens
Terminating the Application <F1>
1. Press the
<F1>
key to terminate execution of the current application.
The PT40 returns to the opening sign-on screen.
2. Press any key to enter the
APPLICATION/TEST
menu and can then select
another application to run.
Uploading Files <F2>
1. Press the
<F2>
key to upload any data that has been collected while run-
ning the application.
2. A new display appears, with instructions for uploading the data from the
application.
3. Press any key to initate the data upload. (This is similar to transferring
data files using
XFER32
; refer to
Using XFER32 starting on page 3-2
.)
You selected the
termination of
the application!
F1= Terminate
F2= Upload files
F4= Continue app
CAUTION
If you select terminate the application at this screen, you will permanently destroy
any data you collected while the application was running.
Prepare host to
rcv files, and
connect I/O to
host I/O port.
To save the data
press any key
