EAN-8 and EAN-13

[Default = enabled] (reference Figure 22). Transmits
EAN-8 and EAN-13 when enabled. Transmission of
EAN-8 and EAN-13 may be enabled/disabled indepen-
dently.

Add-on (Supplements) Reporting

[Default = disabled]. Add-

ons may be enabled or disabled for EAN symbols. If dis-
abled, and an EAN symbol with an Add-on is captured,
the Add-on will not be transmitted. Transmission of
EAN-8 and EAN-13 Add-ons may be enabled/disabled
independently.

Send Check Characters

[Default = enabled]. This option

allows the transmission of data with or without sending
a check character. Transmission of the EAN-8 and EAN-
13 check character may be enabled/disabled indepen-
dently.

Short Quiet Zones

[Default = enabled]. When Enabled this

feature allows the Reader to require less than the mini-
mal quiet zones at each end of the bar code. Short Quiet
Zones for EAN-8 and EAN-13 may be enabled/disabled
independently.

Edit Format

[Default = %D%]. See page 28 for more infor-

mation. The data output for EAN-8 and EAN-13 may be
edited separately.
