In the illustration above, one node goes offline. The Takeover IP Address is immediately assigned to another

node, so incoming DNS queries direct clients to the gateway that will handle clients that were previously managed

by the offline node.

Failover for S3 clients works differently. S3 clients that were connected via the offline node are redirected

to the other available nodes. DNS load balancing settings determine what method is used to divide the client

connections among the online nodes.
