The initial setup tasks covered in this document are described in three general categories:

• Hardware Setup:

This includes mounting the 1U server in a standard equipment rack. Connecting the

cables needed for data flow and device management, connecting the power, and then powering on the

devices.

• Cluster Setup:

This covers changing the network settings for the external public network and internal

Cluster (private) interfaces, configuring storage settings, node configuration, cluster management, and

license activation.

• Virtual Storage Management

: This covers use the

Virtual Storage Creation Setup Wizard

for setup.

Once you have completed this task, you are ready to configure the virtual storage to suit your preferred

application.
