To
actuate the drum brakes,
use the brake
handle on the pushing device of the product.
The drum brake is a service brake and can be
operated when travelling for reducing the
speed. In order to use the drum brake as park-
ing brake, also operate the locking lever.
To
open the drum brake
, actuate the locking
lever again and thus release the parking brake
of the brake.
25.3 Knee lever brake with brake lever

25.3.1 Opening and closing the brake
The
brake is closed
by pushing the brake
lever forwards and downwards.
In the closed position, the brake pin pushes the
tyre in by approx. 4 mm (at the specified air
pressure in the tyre).

Please note that the knee lever brake is a
parking brake which may only be applied when
the product is at a standstill. This is not a ser-
vice brake which is suitable for reducing
speed.
To
open the brake
, pull the brake lever back
up and rearwards again. In the open position,
the distance between the brake pin and the
tyre is approx. 3 to maximum of 4 mm.

25.3.2 Setting the brake
The following instructions are intended
for and may only be carried out by a rehabilita-
tion specialist dealer or PRO ACTIV
Settings on the brake could be necessary for
the following reasons:
You have changed the tyre or the tyre
pressure.
Brake opened
Push the brake lever
forwards and downwards
to close the brake
Pull the brake lever backwards
and upwards to open the brake
Brake closed
