7. Computer Playback / File Transfer
Depending on the administrative rights given to the camera user, video
playback and file transfer can be done by connecting the camera to a
computer using the included USB cable or optional docking station . To
transfer files and view video, complete the following steps:
1 . Connect the camera to the computer using the USB cable .
2 . Press and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to turn the camera
ON . The solid green LED will turn ON, indicating that the camera is ON .
3 . Open the BODYCAM
®
or SecuraMax
™
Upload Utility . The computer
will recognize the camera’s memory card and begin uploading files .
4 . Once the upload is complete, video playback can be done using the
default media player installed on the computer . Note that the file names
will use the following naming convention: YYYYMMDD_DailyFileNumber .
NOTES:
When using the SecuraMax
™
Upload Utility, video playback of files will not be
possible until after the files are securely uploaded to the SecuraMax
™
cloud
or on-site server.
Always power OFF the camera before connecting or disconnecting it to a
computer via USB cable.
When the camera is connected to a computer via USB cable, the camera’s
LCD screen will remain off unless the camera was recording video or audio
before it was connected.
Night vision and the White Light are disabled when the USB cable is connect-
ed to increase charging speed and reduce current draw.
