1.  It is the responsibility of the owner to 

ensure that all users of the pilates chair are 

adequately informed of all precautions.

2.  Before beginning any exercise program, 

consult your physician. This is especially 

important for persons over age 35 or persons 

with pre-existing health problems.

3.  The pilates chair is not intended for use by 

persons with reduced physical, sensory, or 

mental capabilities or lack of experience and 

knowledge, unless they are given supervi-

sion or instruction about use of the pilates 

chair by someone responsible for their 

safety.

4.  Use the pilates chair only as described in 

this manual and in the included instructional 

materials. 

5.  The pilates chair is intended for home 

use only. Do not use the pilates chair in a 

commercial, rental, or institutional setting.

6.  Keep the pilates chair indoors, away from 

moisture and dust. Do not put the pilates 

chair in a garage or covered patio, or near 

water. 

7.  Use the pilates chair only on a level surface. 

Place a mat beneath the pilates chair to 

protect the floor. Make sure that there is 

enough clearance around the pilates chair to 

mount, dismount, and use the pilates chair. 

8.  Make sure that all parts are properly 

tightened each time the pilates chair is used. 

Replace any worn parts immediately. 

9.  Keep children under age 13 and pets away 

from the pilates chair at all times.

10. The pilates chair is designed to support a 

maximum user weight of 250 lbs. (114 kg).

11. Keep hands and feet away from moving 

parts.

12. Always tie loose hair up and out of the way 

while using the pilates chair.

13. Always wear eye protection while using the 

pilates chair.

14. Always wear athletic shoes for foot 

protection while using the pilates chair. 

15. Use the hand cords only when seated on the 

pilates chair. Do not use the hand cords while 

standing.

16. Move the pedals upward and downward in a 

controlled manner. Maintain tension on the 

pedals so that they do not move quickly and 

strike your body or other objects. 

17. Over exercising may result in serious injury 

or death. If you feel faint, if you become short 

of breath, or if you experience pain while 

exercising, stop immediately and cool down.
