Installing the Blades
This section describes how to identify and install blades into a
BladeFrame BF200. The topics include:

Selecting Blade
Slots
The BladeFrame BF200 chassis blade slots are all the same size,
but they are keyed differently to avoid inserting blades into the
incorrect slots. You must insert cBlades and pBlades into the
correct type of slot, as follows:
• The blade slots are numbered from left to right when viewed
from the front of the chassis.
• cBlades are installed in the end slots. cBlade c1 is in the far left
slot, and cBlade c2 is in the far right slot.
• pBlades are installed in the center six slots. When viewed from
the front of the chassis with the glass door open, the pBlade slot
numbers can be seen printed on the bottom of the chassis (left to
right, 1-6).
Removing and
Installing Filler
Blades Filler blades are empty blades that you insert into unused pBlade
slots to ensure that your BladeFrame BF200 meets regulatory
requirements.
Every pBlade slot must have either a pBlade or
filler blade installed in it.
