EXTERNAL CONTROL
Control by an External Console (Passthrough)
The Passthrough feature allows Mbox Director to merge Art-Net or sACN commands from an external console with its
own output. Once the feature is enabled, pop-up menus can be used to enable control of specific parameters, groups
of parameters, or entire layers. In this case, Director will merge the parameter value(s) from the Passthrough Universe
and output the remaining parameters to the Mbox Universe as normal.
The following diagram illustrates a Passthrough Art-Net configuration using example universe values:
Note: If the Passthrough Universe has not been received, then no parameters will be overridden.
To setup a Passthrough:
Step 1. At Add Fixture or Change Configuration window, click "Enable Passthrough Art-Net" checkbox.
Step 2. At "Other Console’s Universe (Input)" field, enter Art-Net universe that console will be broadcasting on.
Step 3. Click Save button.
