Calibrating the Incline Motor

Tools



#2 Philips screwdriver



Standard flat blade screwdriver



Needle nose pliers



Ratchet with ½” socket sizes



Painter’s tape



Measuring tape



Snap ring pliers (outer)

Procedure

1 Verify the incline position A/D values. Access the Hardware Validation diagnostics CROSSRAMP

program. Adjust the incline and verify that incline level 1 and level 5 A/D values are within limits. If the
A/D values are within limits the incline motor is properly calibrated. If the A/D values are not within the
specified limits continue with the following calibration steps:

Calibration steps

2 Remove the front, side, and rear covers.

3 Access the Hardware Validation diagnostics, select CROSSRAMP, and set the cross ramp to level 1.

This sets the lift motor to the correct calibration position and holds the cross ramp at level 1.

Important

: Make sure to set the incline level to 1 (fully extended gas spring) before starting this procedure.

4 Lift up on the stair arms while removing the left and right flat belts off the lower pulley while gently setting

the stair arm down.

WARNING: Removing the flat belt protects against personal injury due to accidental arm and step
movement.

5 Remove the incline motor actuator tube from the lift platform mounting bracket. Remove the hitch pin

and clevis pin. It may be necessary to slightly move the lift platform up/down to free the pin for removal.

TIP

: if the lift platform as bottomed out causing the pin to be stuck in place, you can use a ratcheting strap

to slightly raise the lift platform freeing the pin for removal.
