2. Take hold of the dirt hopper
(Fig. 36/2) in both hands using the
grips located at the sides of the dirt
hopper (Fig. 36/2).
3. Pull the dirt hopper (Fig. 36/2) to the
front and out of the guide rails.
Emptying the dirt hopper
Observe the applicable laws
and local regulations in respect
of disposal!
Empty the dirt hopper (Fig. 36/2) regu-
larly at a suitable location.
Installing the dirt hopper
1. Take hold of the dirt hopper
(Fig. 36/2) in both hands using the
grips located at the sides of the dirt
hopper (Fig. 36/2).
2. Fit the dirt hopper (Fig. 36/2) in the
guide rails, slide in as far as possible
and press the dirt hopper (Fig. 36/2)
upwards until the lock audibly latch-
es into place.
If the dirt hopper (Fig. 36/2) is
not properly engaged, the Indi-
cator for dirt hopper and front
flap of pre-sweep/vacuum unit
lamp (Fig. 19/3) lights up. The
pre-sweep/vacuum unit does
not work.
5.9.2 Dust vacuum
The filter system of the dust vacuum
(use category “U”) is located in the filter
case above the dirt hopper (Fig. 36/2).
The filter case is movable, the move-
ment linked to that of the dirt hopper
(Fig. 36/2) in order to be able to shake
the filter element (panel air filter) when
the agitating motor is switched on.
Clearing the panel air filter of dust
during operation
Clean the panel air filter (Fig. 37/2) in
the dust vacuum regularly and as nec-
essary using the agitating device:
• Press the button for agitating device
(Fig. 20/2).
After pressing the button, an intermit-
tent agitating process runs for
approx. 6 seconds.
• To end the intermittent agitating pro-
cess prematurely, press the same
button (Fig. 20/2) again.
• Alternatively: Turn the key switch to
position 0 or 1 (RESET).
