11.1 Oil change
1 Keep the engine running during 5 to 10 minutes for the oil to reach some
temperature and reduce its viscosity (more liquid). This way it will be easier to
extract it completely.
2 Place an appropriate container under the oil draining hole to collect the used oil.
3 Unscrew the oil draining valve by turning counter clockwise.
4 Let out all the oil, also loosen the filler cap hole for the engine to take air and
expel of oil faster.
5 Turn the engine by pulling the starter rope gently, causing most of the oil lodged
in the moving parts of the engine to fall.
6 Once all the oil has been extracted, close the oil drain and clean spills if any.
7 Refill with the recommended oil to the maximum level, without exceeding it.
Being the machine leveled oil must not overflow by level (see figure on next page)
the amount is about 1.1 liters.
Use good quality SAE10W30 or SAE10W40 4-stroke motor oil. Recommended oil
classification: API “SJ” (USA) or ACEA “A3” (EUROPE) or more current (See
container specifications).
