4.6 Installation guidelines
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) refers to the ability of an elec-
trical device to work flawlessly in an electromagnetic environment
without generating or being susceptible to disturbances. All PA
Control units are designed for use in industrial environments and
meet high EMC specifications.
Cabling
n The cabling must be in line groups (high voltage, current
supply, signal and data lines)
n High voltage lines and signal respectively data lines must be
laid in separate channels or bundles
n The signal and data lines have to be routed as near as pos-
sible beside ground areas
