Architecture
The system architecture of ROBO-8714VG2A includes two main Intel
®
chips - Intel
875P chipset supports Pentium-4 processor, DDR-SDRAM, 2D/3D graphic display,
and 6300ESB that supports one PCI and one PCI-X bus (backward compatible with
PCI bus) bus interface, APM, ACPI compliant power management, USB port, SMBus
communication, SATA, and Ultra DMA/33/66/100 IDE Master. Super I/O chip
W83627HF is responsible for PS/2 Keyboard/Mouse, UARTs, FDC, Hardware
Monitor, Parallel, Watch Dog Timer and Infrared interface.
The LPC-to-ISA Bridge supports a standard 16-bit ISA bus interface that is applied
for all slower I/O operations.
There is dual on-board Gigabit Ethernet via RJ-45 Port to support full functionality
of ROBO-8714VG2A AIO SBC (All-In-One Single Board Computer). One Gigabit
Ethernet controller builds on CSA (Communication Streaming Architecture) that is
twice bandwidth than PCI bus and the second Gigabit controller builds on dedicated
PCI bus that sharing with no other.
