Checking the oil level

Draining the Sewing Head Oil

To ensure proper functioning of the machine and its components, maintain a
consistent lubrication schedule. Drain the oil one month after the first use of the
machine. After this, drain the oil approximately every six months.

To drain the oil from the machine:

Have a container ready to collect the used oil.

Remove the machine from its stand, and set it on a table or a flat working

surface.

Remove the oil drain plug located on the lower left side of the machine, and

collect the oil in the container (

Figure 8.3

After the oil is completely drained, secure the plug.

Dispose of the oil according to local or national regulations. See “Filling the

Sewing Head Oil Reservoir” on page 59 to replace the oil.
