8. Adjust the maximum sharpening depth with the screw for depth stop, and fix this
position with the locking screw.
9. Switch ‘ON’ the ULTRA Mk2 by pressing firmly. Use the handle to bring the grinding
wheel down towards the cutter tooth.
10. Once sharpened mark the first cutter tooth with chalk. Sharpen every second tooth in
one direction. Then change the cutting angle to 30° or to the need of the angle of the
opposite direction.
• DO NOT move the chain holder whilst the machine is in operation!
• Most chainsaws chains have a filing edge angle of 25° or
30°. The filing edge is usually printed on the package of
a new chain. If you do not know the exact filing angle of
the chain, it is normally sufficient to estimate by sight.
Position the grinding wheel as shown in the drawing.
