Before First Use
Unpack the ULTRA Mk2 and check all parts for any damage. Dispose of the packaging
materials and read the instruction manual carefully. The ULTRA Mk2 is supplied partly
assembled, please assemble the machine as follows:
Work Surface Mounting
1. Place the unit base plate on to a solid, level work
surface. Ensure the base plate extends out far
enough over the edge so that the chain can hang
freely and you have easy access to the vice angle
adjustment screw under the base plate. Mount the
base plate to the work surface using mounting
holes ‘H1’.
Wall Mounting
1. Mount the machine approximately 120 cm from the
floor using the ‘H2’ mounting holes. Ensure the
machine is mounted with enough distance from the
wall to allow easy access to the top plate angle
fixing screw.
2. Fasten the motor assembly onto the base plate
using the bolt included. Fasten the bolt with the
fixing screw and two washers.
3. Mount the handle onto the motor assembly by using the hex bolt, tightening the bolt
securely.
4. The ULTRA Mk2 is assembled and ready for use! The pre-installed grinding wheel is for
universal use. To replace a grinding wheel see “Grinding Wheel Replacement” section.
