Using the turn signal and high
beam lever
The lever can be used to operate the parking lights
and flasher as well as the turn signals and high beam.

Activating the turn signals
e
Push the lever past pressure point 1 or 2 .
The turn signal remains active until the lever is
returned to the home position either manually or
automatically when the steering wheel is turned.
e
Push the lever once to pressure point 1 or 2 .
The turn signal lights flash three times.
Activating the high beam
Switching high beam on and off (on vehicles
WITHOUT high beam assistant)
e
Switch on : Tap the lever once in the forward
pressure point 3 .
The light indicator lights up.
e
Switch off : Tap the lever once in the rear pressure
point 4 .
Activating and deactivating the High beam assistant
(on vehicles WITH high beam assistant)
The following conditions must be fulfilled before the
High beam assistant can be activated:

Darkness
b
The light switch setting is selected.
b
The speed is over approx. 40 mph (60 km/h).
b
High beam assistant is activated on the multi-
function display.

Activation : Tap the lever once in the forward
pressure point 3 .
The light indicator lights up. The lights
automatically switch from low beam to high
beam.
If high beam is on, the
light indicator lights
up.

Deactivation : Tap the lever once in the rear
pressure point 4 .
The High beam assistant can only be deactivated
when the
light indicator lights up.
Switching the High beam assistant on/off manually
(on vehicles WITH high beam assistant)
If the High beam assistant has been deactivated or if
the conditions for the High beam assistant are not
fulfilled, high beam can be switched on and off
manually.
The following prerequisites must be fulfilled:

Darkness
b
The light switch setting is selected.

Switch on : Tap the lever twice in the forward
pressure point 3 .
The light indicator lights up.
e
Switch off : Tap the lever once in the rear pressure
point 4 .
Activating the flasher
e
Tap the lever once in the rear pressure point 4 .
Light indicator lights up briefly.
Switching the parking light on and off
b
The ignition is switched off.
e
Press the lever up 2 or down 1 to switch on the
right or left parking light.
If the parking light is on, a message will appear on the
multifunction display after the ignition is switched
off and the door is opened.
