Electrolyzer is set to “00” it is switched off, and will not release any more copper. The initial starting
position on the display used as a starting point for the copper emission depends on the size of the
pond and the result of the test strip used to carry out the first water test. If the copper content is too
low after the first test, it can be increased by pressing the “+” button to set the display to 30 or higher,
as an example. Test the water again after one week. and increase the display value further if the test
strip still shows a low copper value. If the test strip indicates the correct value, between 0.1 and 0.2
ppm, the display does not need to be changed. If the copper value is too high, the value on the display
can be decreased towards “00” with the “-“ button to reduce the outlet of copper into the water. If you
test the water again after another week, the result of the test strip will show whether you can switch
the Electrolyzer on again or not. By continually testing and adjusting the value on the display, you will
ultimately arrive at the correct copper value in your pond.
The Electrolyzer will automatically switch off every 14 days. You will see that the digits on the display
are no longer illuminated. You should test the water with the supplied test strips when the Electrolyzer
is switched off. The device is switched on again with the “+” button. The position to which the display
was set before the device switched off will automatically reappear on the display. It is no longer
possible to manually switch off the display after the Electrolyzer has been switched on again. The
display will again switch off automatically after 14 days. If you have made a mistake, or if you do not
wish to switch the Electrolyzer on again, you can simply set the display position to “00”.
During the first month of use, it is necessary to test the pond water every week until the correct copper
value has been reached. After one month, the testing can be reduced to once every two weeks. The
pH value can also be tested with the test strips. A pH value from 7.0 is the ideal value for copper
electrolysis.
REPLACEMENT OF THE COPPER UNIT
The copper unit will operate for 4,500 hours. The copper unit must be replaced when the number “88”
blinks on the display of the Copper Electrolyzer. A replacement set can be obtained from the
distributor where you have purchased the device. When the copper unit has been replaced, the display
can be reset by keeping the “+” and the “-” button pressed down simultaneously for 3 seconds.
INSTALLATION OF THE DEVICE (DRAWING 1)
Never submerge this device in water. Always install the device outside of the pond. Ensure that water
is always flowing through the unit when the electrolyzer is switched on.
1. Determine where the unit will be installed.
2. Fit the display box (B) at the selected location. The plug is situated on the top of the unit.
3. Install the unit into the circuit using the 3-part couplings (F).
4. Make sure there is sufficient space available (+/- 30 cm) to remove the copper unit (A) in order to
replace it and/or for maintenance.
5. Switch the pump on and check the system for flow and leakage. Pay hereby attention to the
correct position of the sealing rings (D).
6. Put the plug of the unit in a wall socket with a safety ground and fitted with a residual current
circuitbreaker.
7. The unit is switched off completely by pulling the plug out of the socket.
