PM1704A models allow the user to set up two independent gamma DE
thresholds in DE measurement mode that trigger distinguishable sound
and vibration alarms when exceeded. This allows the user to use one
threshold as a WARNING indicator, and the second threshold as a
DANGER indicator. The analog bar on the bottom of the display indicates
the relative value of the dose rate over the two preset thresholds,
depicted as “
”.
If the DE measurement range is exceeded, the instrument will display
“OVL” (Overloaded) message.
To check or change DE thresholds or reset
accumulated DE value it is needed to enter the DE
measurement mode menu. For this purpose press
and hold the SELECT button until the DE
measurement mode menu appears on the display:
2.7.1. Setting new thresholds
To set new threshold values in DE measurement mode menu choose
THRESHOLDS string and then press the MODE/SET button to select
“THRESHOLD 1” or “THRESHOLD 2” to change the corresponding
threshold value.
The way of operating in this submenu is the same as described in 2.4.1.
2.7.2 Reset value of the accumulated DE
To reset accumulated DE value in DE measurement mode menu choose
RESET DOSE string and answer “Yes” on displayed question “RESET?”:
To exit DE measurement mode menu choose EXIT string.
