4.5.1 PC communication via USB (for PM2012MB)
The instruments provide data exchange with PC running WINDOWS OS via USB interface. The
instruments connection to PC is performed with the use of USB cable (included in the delivery
kit) to the USB port embedded in PC.
To connect the instrument to PC special software
“PM2012MB Data Processing Software”
is
required and the driver, which ensure the connection and operability of the instrument with the
PC or laptop, and are included in delivery kit. The Software and driver shall be installed on PC
before instrument’s connection to it.
The course of instrument’s work with software
“PM2012MB Data Processing Software”
is
described in the help file “Operational manual.pdf”.
4.5.2 Smartphone communication (for PM2012MB)
Smartphone communication mode is performed via Bluetooth® 4.0 only for PM2012MB model.
The instrument can transfer data via Bluetooth® 4.0 channel to smartphones running iOS or
Android OS. The mobile application “Polismart II”, in its turn, shall be installed on smartphone.
The following mobile application “Polismart II” can be downloaded from App Store or Google
play directly onto smartphone for free. To make connection between smartphone and the
instrument, please launch the Bluetooth® 4.0 as in par. 2.4. After the Bluetooth® 4.0 channel is
switched on, launch “Polismart II” application on smartphone. The instrument gets connected to
the smartphone automatically.
To leave the application, push the Home button
(iPhone) and
(Android) and switch off
the Bluetooth channel as in par. 2.4.
The following operations can be conducted when the instrument is connected to smarthone, in
particluar:

to change the values of sequent time intervals, wherethrough the current DER values is
saved in the instrument’s nonvolatile memory (the manufacturer sets 60 min);
-
read the measured values of DER and DE in the estimated time interval, along with date
and time in case the thresholds are exceeded;
-
present the instument’s values on the smartphone’s screen;
-
set the DER and DE thresholds;
-
present the status of chemical channels and the level of thesholds exceed.
The additional operations, substituted by “Polismart II” during smartphone and instrument
operation are the following:

the record and review of track points of the user (application menu “Track);
-
the review of the user accumulated dosimetric data with their presentation on the electric
world map (application menu “World map”).

4.6 Clock-calendar mode
To proceed to the Clock-Calendar mode please sequently switch the modes with the “MODE”
button until the following mode is indicated.
In the Clock-Calendar mode the instrument indicates the current time in hh:mm:ss. To switch to
submode “Calendar”, please hold shortly the “SET” button. In the “Calendar” submode the
instrument indicates the current date in dd:mm:yyyy. To return to the “Clock” mode press the
“SET” button shortly again. To change time and date is possible using special Software, included
in the delivery kit.
