3.2 AC adapter and DC power supply
The unit can be also operated using the AC adapter. Open a rubber cap protecting the port (9)
(Figure 2.1) and connect the adapter with the adapter jack.

9-36 V DC power cable
The unit can be also operated using 9-36 V DC power supply. Use the optional power cable
(included together with the AC adapter) to connect the instrument to the power supply: red
connector is "+", blue connector is "-".
To avoid spontaneous switching the CWA operating modes do not expose the
instrument to strong constant magnetic fields.
3.3 Instrument Turning On/Off
The instrument turns on automatically after the battery is installed.
To turn the instrument on, if it was not in use, press and hold any control button during 3 seconds
(Figure 3.2).

When turned on, the instrument goes through self-tests and diagnostics of the main blocks, and
the unit displays “TEST”. If tests are successfully completed, the instrument starts measuring the
gamma radiation dose and dose rate and displays the dose rate value (Figure 3.3).
