Safety Precautions

It is very important to read through the following safety

precautions before using your waterproof camera case

in order to guarantee human safety and to avoid

product damage.

1  In the event water leakage is observed while using the

camera case, immediately stop using it and remove it

from the water. Failure to do so may cause an electrical or

fire hazard. Use a soft, clean cloth to remove any water

from the interior of the camera case. Before returning the

case to the water, follow the directions under the title

INSPECTING THE WATER SEAL contained within the

heading titled Caring for Your Waterproof Case and

 Your

Camera.

2  Remove your camera from the waterproof camera case if

it is not to be used for an extended length of time.
3  Avoid leaving the waterproof camera case in strong

sunlight, near heat or fire. Doing so may cause the camera

case to deform and thereby create a water leakage.
4  Do not use the waterproof camera case in hot water (in

  excess of 100°F).
5  Do not use the neck strap when you are diving with the

waterproof camera case. It may become entangled and

  cause strangulation or other mishaps.
6  Do not use the waterproof camera case at depths

  exceeding 131 feet.
7  Do not attempt to make any alteration to the camera case

as it may affect its waterproof performance.
8  Do not apply excessive force to the camera case body or

 its

buttons.

9  Inspect the water seal O-ring before using the waterproof

camera case. (See the section titled INSPECTING THE

 WATER

SEAL.)

10  Do not throw or drop the waterproof camera case.
11  Do not use any water sealing compound on the O-ring

other than the one that comes with the waterproof camera

case; failure to do so may adversely affect its water sealing

performance. If this happens, wipe it off and apply the

water sealing compound that was provided in the package.

12  Avoid inserting or removing your camera in hot or wet

 locations.
13  Avoid using the waterproof camera case in a high

temperature environment for too long a period of time.

14  In the event of a large difference between air temperature

and water temperature, water droplets (condensation) may

occur inside the camera case, and the water may damage

the camera. If condensation is discovered, remove the

camera case from the water and clean the inside of it with

a soft, clean cloth before putting it back to use.

TESTING THE WATERPROOF CASE

Before using the

Polaroid

waterproof case, verify that it is

indeed waterproof.

1  Check that the O-ring is free of dirt or sand particles. Then,

close the case without a camera in it.
2  Dip the case in at least eight inches of clear water for at

least five minutes to ensure there are no leaks.
3  Repeat step two with your camera enclosed in the case.

  Check for leaks.
4  If a water leak is observed, remove the camera from the

case and follow the directions the title INSPECTING THE

WATER SEAL contained within the heading titled Caring

for Your Waterproof Case and Your Camera. If the problem

still exists, contact the retailer from which it was purchased.
