PRO XP / XP 4 Service Manual

HEAD PIPE / TURBO REMOVAL

1. Remove the exhaust pipe. See Exhaust Pipe

Removal page 3.16 outlined in this chapter.

2. Remove two P-clip fasteners retaining the oil feed line

to the turbo bracket assembly.

3. Remove two hoses

from the turbo going to the

boost control valve. Mark hoses for correct
reinstallation to the boost control valve.

4. Remove the banjo bolt

retaining the oil inlet hose

and remove the oil drain hose

CAUTION

Use caution when removing oil feed line to avoid

bending/damaging the hard line.

IMPORTANT

The oil line sealing washers MUST be replaced any

time the oil line/fitting is removed. Use only the

recommended washers shown in the Polaris Electronic

Parts Catalog.

5. Remove two fasteners

and remove the coolant

inlet hose

and outlet hose

6. Remove two fasteners

retaining turbo bracket to

the turbo.

7. Loosen four fasteners

on the engine mounting

bracket and pivot the top of the turbo bracket forward.

8. Remove two fasteners

and remove the lower turbo

heat shield.
