GenICam
Generic Interface for Cameras. A generic programming interface for vision system cameras.
GigE
Gigabit Ethernet
GVCP
GigE Vision Control Protocol. Allows an application to configure vDisplay IP engines. This
protocol is implemented over the UDP transport layer protocol. The GVCP defines mechanisms
that guarantee the reliability of packet transmission and ensure minimal flow control.
GVSP
GigE Vision Stream Protocol. Allows an application to transfer images using GigE. This protocol
is implemented over the UDP transport layer protocol.
HDCP
High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection is a form of digital copy protection developed by
Intel Corporation to prevent copying of digital audio and video content as it travels across
DisplayPort, Digital Visual Interface (DVI), High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), Gigabit
Video Interface (GVIF), or Unified Display Interface (UDI) connections. HDCP does not address
whether copying would be permitted by fair use laws. The specification is proprietary, and
implementing HDCP requires a license.
