9.3  Busmaster and local operation panel 

For local operation and parameter set-up every master pair must be connected to a PLD. Masters and 
PLD are connected via Ethernet and communicating with Modbus-TCP protocol. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
Up to 8 PLD

’s can connect to one busmaster for “local operation” and max. 8 busmaster are operable 

by 1 PLD. 
 

9.4  Modbus RTU Interface 

The RS 485 port of the dc power supply module is intended to connect a supervisory control system 
via Modbus RTU. The acts as a RTU slave whereas the SCADA system is the master. The baudrate 
is selectable but should not be lower than 38400 baud. The explanation of the complete data model is 
provided in a separate document (PCL Modbus data model V3.0).
