4.5.1 WAN 

This page is used to configure the parameters for Internet network which connects to the WAN port of 

the Gateway as shown in 

Figure 4-20

. Here you may select the access method by clicking the item 

value of WAN access type.

WAN Access Type 

Please select the corresponding WAN Access Type for the Internet, 

and fill out the correct parameters from your local ISP in the fields 

which appear below. 

Static 

Select Static IP Address if all the Internet ports’ IP 

information is provided to you by your ISP (Internet 

Service Provider). You will need to enter the IP 

address, Netmask, Gateway, and DNS Server provided 

to you by your ISP. 

Each IP address entered in the fields must be in the 

appropriate IP form, which are four octets separated by 

a dot (x.x.x.x). The Gateway will not accept the IP 

address if it is not in this format. 

IP Address 

Enter the IP address assigned by your ISP.
