You must submit your refund request within 60 days from the date shown on the mail to your local Post 
Office. 

For all indicia except those produced by PC Postage systems, you must submit the indicia to the 
licensing Post Office.

The Postal Service™ refunds 90% of the face value on the indicia if the total is $500 or less. 

 

l

If the total face value is more than $500, the charge is $50 per hour for the actual hours to 
process the refund, with a minimum charge of $50.

Creating a custom text message for your mail 

You can create a custom text message for your mailpiece. The message can be up to 5 lines with each 
line containing a maximum of 20 characters. You can leave any of the 5 lines blank. The message is 
centered on the envelope or tape when you print postage.
