Playback with NETWORK feature

IP (IP add r ess)
The IP add r ess to be ente r ed must be defined within the
following r anges. If the IP add r ess defined is beyond the
following r anges, you cannot p lay back audio files
sto r ed on com p onents on the netwo r k o r listen to
Inte r net r adio stations.
Class A: 10.0.0.1 to 10.255.255.254
Class B: 172.16.0.1 to 172.31.255.254
Class C: 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.255.254
- MASK (Subnet Mask)
In case an xDSL modem o r a te r minal ada p te r is di r ectly
connected to this r eceive r , ente r the subnet mask
pr ovided by you r ISP on p a p e r . In most cases, ente r
255.255.255.0.
- Gateway (Default Gateway)
In case a gateway ( r oute r ) is connected to this r eceive r ,
ente r the co rr es p onding IP add r ess.
- DNS (DNS se r ve r )
Ente r the DNS se r ve r add r ess you r eceived in w r iting
f r om you r inte r net se r vice pr ovide r .
• Select Status f r om the Network Settings menu to show
you r cu rr ent netwo r k connection mode and details.

Network connection requirements
The NETWORK allows you to p lay music on media se r ve r s
connected on an identical Local A r ea Netwo r k (LAN) as the
r eceive r . This unit allows fo r the p laying of files sto r ed on the
following:
• PCs r unning Mic r osoft Windows Vista o r XP with
Windows Media Playe r 11 installed
• PCs r unning Mic r osoft Windows 7 with Windows Media
Playe r 12 installed
• DLNA-com p atible digital media se r ve r s (on PCs o r othe r
com p onents)
To p lay back audio files sto r ed on com p onents on the
netwo r k o r listen to Inte r net r adio stations, you must tu r n on
the DHCP se r ve r function of you r r oute r . In case you r r oute r
does not have the built-in DHCP se r ve r function, it is
necessa r y to set u p the netwo r k manually. Othe r wise, you
cannot p lay back audio files sto r ed on com p onents on the
netwo r k o r listen to Inte r net r adio stations.

Authorizing this receiver
In o r de r to be able to p lay with NETWORK, this r eceive r must
be autho r ized. This ha pp ens automatically when the r eceive r
makes a connection ove r the netwo r k to the PC. If not, p lease
autho r ize this r eceive r manually on the PC. The autho r ization
(o r p e r mission) method fo r access va r ies de p ending on the
ty p e of se r ve r cu rr ently being connected. Fo r mo r e
