• When adjusting the speake r positions, do not move the speake r s much; only move them about 2
cm towa r ds o r away f r om the mic r ophone.
• If you fo r get exactly whe r e the mic r ophone should be positioned o r if the r e a r e p r oblems afte r the
p r ocedu r e has been pe r fo r med r epeatedly, r e-calib r ate the distance using the Full Auto MCACC
p r ocedu r e, then without moving the mic r ophone r edo the P r ecision Distance adjustment.
The display shows KEY LOCK ON

SPEAKERS to disable the key lock.

Symptom Remedy
The EQ r esponse displayed in

calib r ation does not appea r
enti r ely flat.
• The r e a r e cases whe r e the g r aph does not appea r flat (even when selecting ALL CH ADJ in the Auto
MCACC Setup) due to adjustments made to compensate fo r r oom cha r acte r istics to achieve optimal
sound.
• A
r eas of the g r aph may appea r identical (befo r e and afte r ) when the r e is little o r no adjustment
needed.
• The g
r aph may appea r to have shifted ve r tically when compa r ing befo r e and afte r measu r ements.
EQ adjustments made using
the
Manual MCACC setup
on
page 101 do not appea r to
change the g r aphical output.
• Despite level adjustments being made, the filte r s used fo r analysis may not display these
adjustments in the g r aphical output. Howeve r , these adjustments a r e taken into account by the
filte r s dedicated to ove r all system calib r ation.
Lowe r f r equency r esponse
cu r ves do not seem to have
been calib r ated fo r
SMALL
speake r s.
• Low f r equencies used in bass management (the subwoofe r channel) will not change fo r speake r s
that have been specified as SMALL in the configu r ation, o r do not output these f r equencies.
• Calib r ation is pe r fo r med, but due to you r speake r s’ low f r equency limitations, no measu r able
sound is output fo r display.
Symptom Remedy
The display is da r k o r off. • P r ess DIMMER r epeatedly to select a diffe r ent b r ightness.
You can’t get DIGITAL to

• Check the digital connections and make su r e that the digital inputs a r e assigned co rr ectly (see The
Input Setup menu
on page 45).
• If the multichannel analog inputs a r e selected, select a diffe r ent input function.

• Check that the playe r isn’t set up so that Dolby Digital and DTS sou r ces a r e conve r ted to PCM.
• Ensu r e that if the r e a r e seve r al audio t r acks on the disc, the Dolby Digital o r DTS is selected.
