5.1.7 FLOWCHART OF FAILURE ANALYSIS FOR THE AUDIO SYSTEM

Is a signal output from IC4701?
(pin 33, 34)

Check the surrounding of IC4701
and each input signal. If there was
no ploblem replace MAIN Assy.

Check the communication
between IC4701 and CN4005.

Replace the MAIN Assy.

Replace the TANSHI Assy.

Cansel muting then check again.

Is the volume set to 0?

Check around IC4704.

Yes

Has the signal come to TP8825
or TP8826?

Yes

The sound is not emitted audio out.

Is a signal output from CN8803?

Is a signal output from jack?

Yes

No audio from monitor out

Yes

Has the sound been emitted from
the Subwoofer?

Yes

Is a signal output from IC4701?
(pin 31, 32)

Yes

Is a signal output from IC4704?
(pin 1, 7)

Has the signal arrived at CN4005?

Check the around of IC4701 and
each input signal. If there was no
ploblem, replace MAIN Assy.

Finishing troubleshooting.

Check the Flexible cable between
CN4005 and CN8803.

Replace or reconnect flexible cable.

Check the contact between the
CN8803 and R8886.
Check the contact between the
CN8803 and R8887.

Check the communication between
IC4704 to CN4005.

Cansel muting then check again.

Replace the MAIN Assy.

Replace the TANSHI Assy.

Replace the MAIN Assy.

Yes

Is a signal output from CN8803?

Check the Flexible cable between
CN4005 and CN8803.

Yes

Has the signal come to TP8843?

Yes

Check the around of pin Jack.

Check the contact between the
CN8803 and R8892.

Replace or reconnect flexible cable.

Raise the volume then check again.

Check the communication
between the CN8803 and Jack.
If there was no ploblem replace
IO Assy.
