SOFTWARE LIMITING CONDITIONS

devices
Disc media
Discs must be r eco r ded in com p atibility with ISO9660 file system. When r eco r ded in UDF
file system, the ISO9660 file system must be jointly r eco r ded o r the disc will not be
p layable. (Fo r details consult the manufactu r e r of the a pp licable softwa r e.)
On a single disc, no mo r e than 2 000 folde r s and no mo r e than 3 000 files can be
dis p layed.
U p to 8 levels of folde r hie r a r chy a r e su pp o r ted. Any files in folde r s beyond the eighth level
will not be dis p layed.
WAV/AIFF files on discs a r e not su pp o r ted.
USB sto r age devices
No mo r e than 10 000 folde r s and no mo r e than 10 000 files can be dis p layed within a
single folde r .
U p to 8 levels of folde r hie r a r chy a r e su pp o r ted. Any files in folde r s beyond the eighth level
will not be dis p layed.
Does not su pp o r t GUID p a r tition-ma pp ed Mac OS standa r d fo r mat.
USB sto r age devices which have been fo r matted with the Mac extension fo r mat set to
“disc r iminate u pp e r case and lowe r case” may not be r ecognized pr o p e r ly.
Jacket Photog r a p h
Photog r a p hs to be dis p layed as jacket a r t must be saved in JPEG fo r mat. Photog r a p hs
la r ge r than 800 x 800 p ixels cannot be dis p layed.
When an image is imbedded in an ID3 tag, o r an image file is found within a folde r , the
image will be dis p layed as a jacket p hotog r a p h togethe r with the ID3 data. In the event
that images a r e found in both p laces, the image imbedded in the ID3 tag will be given
pr ecedence.
m3u file
U p to 100 m3u files can be dis p layed p e r device.
U p to 300 t r acks can be dis p layed fo r each m3u file. Howeve r , if the file size exceeds 308
000 bytes, those t r acks in the p o r tion exceeding 308 000 bytes cannot be dis p layed.
When b r owsing using a database you have const r ucted, m3u files will not be dis p layed.
In the case of discs, those r eco r ded with sho r t file names a r e not su pp o r ted.
MIX
In “no r mal style” o p e r ation, DJ softwa r e t r acks cannot be mixed. In “mani p ulato r style”
o p e r ation, whethe r mixing is p ossible de p ends on the DJ softwa r e used (the accesso r y
DJS softwa r e su pp o r ts mixing).
EFFECT
In “no r mal style” o p e r ation, effects cannot be a pp lied to DJ softwa r e t r acks. In
“mani p ulato r style” o p e r ation, whethe r a pp lying effect is p ossible de p ends on the DJ
softwa r e used (the accesso r y DJS softwa r e su pp o r ts effect functions).
Playlists
Music (CD-DA) t r acks and DJS t r acks cannot be added to p laylists.
A maximum of 150 t r acks can be r eco r ded in a single p laylist. When a p laylist becomes
full, no fu r the r t r acks can be added.
If a USB sto r age device has insufficient ca p acity r emaining, its t r acks cannot be added to
a p laylist.
When adding t r acks to a p laylist by designating an enti r e folde r , if no database fo r the
t r acks exists, the t r acks will be added by file name, not by the name of a r tist and album
title.

Cue/loo p p oint memo r y
Disc memo r y data, max, 2 000 discs (with 10 cue p oints o r less p e r disc) can be sto r ed in
the built-in flash memo r y. When the built-in flash memo r y becomes full, info r mation is
ove r w r itten, beginning f r om that fo r least-f r equently used discs.
If the USB sto r age device has insufficient ca p acity r emaining, the cue/loo p p oint
info r mation fo r t r acks on that device cannot be saved.
Lib r a r y
A lib r a r y can be c r eated with u p to 150 000 t r acks.
U p to 1 000 gen r es can be dis p layed.
Gen r es fo r t r acks exceeding this limitation will be dis p layed as [

].
