INSTALLING DJS SOFTWARE

Precautions regarding installation
• Befo r e installing DJS, p lease r ead the “SOFTWARE END USER
LICENSE AGREEMENT” and “SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

use r ’s manuals in the following eight languages: English,
F r ench, Ge r man, Italian, Dutch, S p anish, Chinese (sim p lified
Manda r in), Ja p anese.
• When using DJS on a com p ute r whose Windows
®
dis p lay
language is othe r than one of those listed above, follow the
menu inst r uctions to select [ English ].
• Installation and uninstallation of DJS r equi r e administ r ato r ’s
r ights on the com p ute r conce r ned. You must log on as
administ r ato r befo r e installing the softwa r e.
 Installation Procedure
1 When the accessory CD-ROM installation disc is loaded in
your computer’s DVD/CD drive, the installation menu will
automatically appear. Follow the menu instructions to install
the DJS software.
• If the installation menu does not automatically a pp ea r , click
on [ START ]

[ My Computer (o r Computer )] and select
the o p tical disc d r ive, and double click on the [ Install ] icon.
2 When the installation menu appears, click on the [Install DJS]
button.
• If a t r ial ve r sion of DJS is cu rr ently installed on the
com p ute r , in p lace of the [ Install DJS ] button, the [ Uninstall
DJS trial version of DJS ] button will a pp ea r . Click on that
button to uninstall the t r ial ve r sion, then once again click on
the [
Install DJS
] button.
• To dis p lay the use r ’s manual, click on the [ Display DJS
User’s Manual ] button. Adobe Reade r

is r equi r ed to
dis p lay the use r ’s manual.
• To install Adobe Reade r
®
, click on the [
Install Adobe
Reader ] button. If you r com p ute r al r eady has an olde r
ve r sion of Adobe Reade r

installed, uninstall the olde r
ve r sion of Adobe Reade r

befo r e clicking on the [ Install

] button.
• To close the installation menu, click on the [ Exit ] button.
3 When the screen for selecting the language appears, select
[English], then click on [OK].
• De p ending on you r com p ute r o p e r ating envi r onment, mo r e
than one language may be available.
• When you click on the [ OK ] button, the [ Preparing to install
DJS...
] message will a pp ea r .
When pr e p a r ations a r e com p leted, the [
Commencing
installation of DJS... ] message will a pp ea r . Follow the
inst r uctions in the message to com p lete DJS installation.
• To cancel installation, click on the [
Cancel
] button.
4 When DJS installation is completed, reboot the computer in
accord with the instructions that appear on the screen.


When installation of DJS is com p leted, the use r ’s manual can be
viewed f r om the Windows [ START ] menu if desi r ed. Click on
[ START ]


It is r ecommended to r ead the use r ’s manual in o r de r to gain a
basic unde r standing of DJS featu r es befo r e actually sta r ting the
pr og r am.
NOTES REGARDING TRIAL PERIOD AND
USER REGISTRATION
DJS can be used without r egist r ation fo r a 60-day t r ial p e r iod afte r
installation.
This
p e r iod r e pr esents the time you can use DJS without officially
r egiste r ing it. When the t r ial p e r iod is ove r , DJS can no longe r be
used, so be su r e to com p lete use r r egist r ation befo r e that p e r iod
has ela p sed.
 Online r egist r ation can be com p leted fo r use r s connected to the
Inte r net. Fo r details r ega r ding use r r egist r ation pr ocedu r es,
consult the DJS use r ’s manual contained on the accesso r y CD-
ROM disc.
 The Pionee r G r ou p collects p e r sonal use r info r mation fo r the
following p u rp oses:
1. To pr ovide afte r se r vice fo r the pr oduct.
2. To info r m use r s via email of im p o r tant info r mation and events
r ega r ding the pr oduct.
3. To collect su r vey data f r om custome r s and r eflect those r esults
into pr oduct develo p ment.
• Pe r sonal info r mation collected f r om custome r s is handled and
managed in acco r dance with ou r p e r sonal info r mation pr ivacy
p olicy.

Use r s without Inte r net connections should ente r the necessa r y
info r mation on the “Use r r egist r ation ca r d” and r etu r n it via mail
to Pionee r . Afte r the com p leted “Use r r egist r ation ca r d” is
r eceived, we will send the “Regist r ation ID” (installation key)
MEMO
• When using this unit (MEP-7000) in conjunction with the DJS
softwa r e pr og r am, the softwa r e d r ive r must be installed in the
com p ute r befo r e connecting the com p ute r to the MEP-7000.
