To delete a cue point or loop information from
memory
1 Press the CUE/LOOP CALL button.
When the CUE/LOOP CALL button is pr essed, the cue p oint o r
loo p info r mation is called u p , and the unit ente r s the standby
mode at the cue o r loo p -in p oint.
2 At the cue or loop point you wish to delete, hold the CUE/
LOOP MEMORY button depressed for one second or more.
The [
MEMO
] indicato r will go out and the designated cue p oint
o r loo p p oint info r mation will be deleted.
• The info r mation can be deleted f r om the BROWSE sc r een as
well (P. 28).
SCRATCH PLAY
When the jog mode is set to [
SCRATCH
], pr essing and r otating the
to p su r face of the jog dial will cause p layback to be p e r fo r med in
pr o p o r tion to the di r ection and s p eed of jog dial r otation.
1 Press the SCRATCH button.
The SCRATCH indicato r will flash blue.
2 During playback, press the surface of the jog dial.
Playback will sto p .
3 Rotate the jog dial in the direction and at the speed you wish
for playback to occur.
Playback will begin in the di r ection and at the s p eed
co rr es p onding to the jog dial in p ut.
4 Release hand from surface of jog dial.
Playback will r etu r n to its o r iginal s p eed.
SPIN PLAY
Du r ing p layback with the jog mode set to [ SCRATCH ], eithe r pr ess
the su r face of the jog dial o r the p lay/ p ause (  ) button to set the
p ause mode, then r otate the jog dial quickly; p layback will pr oceed
in r es p onse to the di r ection and s p eed of jog dial r otation, even if
you r emove you r hand f r om the dial.
JOG BREAK PLAY
When the jog mode is set to [ JOG BREAK ], the pr essing and
r otating the su r face of the jog dial causes effects to be a pp lied to
the sound in pr o p o r tion to the di r ection of r otation and r otation
s p eed.
1 Press the JOG BREAK button.
The JOG BREAK indicato r will flash r ed.
2 During playback, touch and press the surface of the jog dial.
3 Rotate the jog dial.
4 Release hand from surface of jog dial.
The effect will sto p and sound will r etu r n to its o r iginal
condition.
• Jog b
r eak p lay is not enabled when DJS o r othe r DJ softwa r e
t r acks a r e loaded.
EFFECT SCREEN
When the
EFFECT
button is pr essed, the cente r dis p lay will show
the EFFECT sc r een, pr oviding g r a p hic ex pr ession to assist with
sc r atch p lay and jog b r eak p lay.
[1] Scratch effect
When the jog mode is set to [
SCRATCH
], the sc r een on the
cont r olle r side switches to sc r atch effect mode.
A blue ball will r otate in r es p onse to the t r ack p layback.
• The ball no r mally r otates to the r ight. When p layback di r ection
changes, the ball r eve r ses di r ection, and when p layback sto p s,
the ball’s r otation also sto p s.
1 During playback, press one of the function buttons
[SCRATCH/TRANS/BUBBLE].
