Using the MEP-7000, t r ack selection can be p e r fo r med on the cente r dis p lay f r om u p to six kinds of music sou r ce, including two discs,
two USB sto r age devices, a p e r sonal com p ute r (DJ softwa r e), and p laylists. The buttons needed fo r selecting each ty p e of sou r ce a r e
illust r ated below.
BROWSE SCREEN
When the BROWSE button is pr essed, the BROWSE sc r een shown
below will be dis p layed, allowing confi r mation of all info r mation
necessa r y fo r t r ack selection.


• If cha r acte r s a r e not dis p layed co rr ectly, use the LANGUAGE
item on the UTILITY sc r een to select the desi r ed language (P.
61).
1 Contents display
Dis p lays the contents of the line selected
with the cu r so r . In the case of a folde r , the
contents of the folde r a r e dis p layed; in the
case of a t r ack, the t r ack info r mation is
dis p layed.
2 A/B track
information
display
Dis p lays title, a r tist name, and p layback
status fo r t r ack cu rr ently set in cont r olle r .
3 Selection cursor Use the r ota r y selecto r dial to move this
cu r so r u p /down and select folde r s and
t r acks.

4 Browse window Dis p lays the selected sou r ce contents.
Dis p lays contents in al p habetical o r de r by
M3U files, folde r s, and t r acks.
5 Higher level
name
Dis p lays the name of the folde r o r sou r ce
at the next highe r level of the hie r a r chy
r elative to the item cu rr ently shown in the
b r owse window.
6 Source selection Use the function button to select the
sou
r ce dis p layed in the window.
7 Jacket photo
display If a JPEG image is attached to the ID3 tag
o
r pr esent in the folde r , when the
selection cu r so r is used to choose a t r ack,
the associated image will be dis p layed in
the contents dis p lay section.
Music CD (CD-DA) disc. Selecting this
icon dis
p lays the disc’s contents.
CD-ROM/DVD-ROM disc. Selecting this
icon dis
p lays the disc’s contents.
Selecting this icon dis p lays the contents
of the USB sto r age device.
Selecting this icon enables DJ softwa r e
cont r ol (P. 53).
When DJS is booted, changes to DJS
icon.
Selecting this icon dis p lays the p laylist (P.
32).
