CLOTHING SOAKED IN FUEL, FLUSH YOUR SKIN WITH CLEAN WATER AND USE SOAP AND WATER TO
CLEAN YOUR SKIN. FUEL IS DANGEROUS AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
CAUTION
MAKE SURE THAT THE FUEL COMPONENTS ARE FULLY CLEAN DURING THE MAINTENANCE. DO
NOT LET UNWANTED MATERIAL GO INTO THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM. CONTAMINATION OF THE
FUEL SYSTEM CAN CAUSE DAMAGE, CORROSION AND ENGINE FAILURE.

Procedure
1
General
This data module gives the maintenance procedure to replace the O ring seal in the LH and RH wing
fuel tank drain valves.
Two different types of drain valve can be installed.
To identify which drain valve type is installed, use the Fuel sample unit (Pt.No. T12-020) to push
and turn the valve clockwise. If the valve mechanism drops to expose the O ring, the valve has a
replaceable O ring. If the valve does not drop, the valve does not have a replaceable O ring.
