CHAPTER 9: MODBUS CONFIGURATION PAGE
Click on the Modbus Configuration button on the navigation panel located at the left part of
the user interface. Explanation is provided whenever is necessary. Modbus of FMGuard has a
capacity of 32 nodes, maximum of 1024 monitoring points.
The following steps are used to configure Modbus.
1.
Configure the RTU settings. Please be reminded that FMGuard and any device
integrated with it via Modbus should have the same RTU settings.
Baudrate
–
the rate of the data transferred through Modbus.
Parity
–
type of check bit used to detect error on data transmission.
Data Bits
–
Size of the data.
Stop Bit
–
basic error check to detect baud rate or byte length.

on Modbus Devices

After setting up the parameters of the device, you may now proceed on configuring
each tags of device. Click
to add tag on your chosen device. Also, you can click
to edit or delete a device.
