Operating Parameters
12.5.1 Settings for Rotary Encoder and Soft Limits
The L-417.xx9054's motor is equipped with an absolute-measuring rotary encoder. The
encoder is set so that its zero position is in the middle of the mechanical axis.
The L-417.xx9054 does not have a limit switch. The soft limits must be set correctly to prevent
the L-417.xx9054's motion platform from hitting the hard stop at the end of the travel range
and damaging the load or the L-417.xx9054. The respective soft limits must be between the
travel range and the hard stop in order to make use of the entire nominal travel range.
