4.1.8 Setting the Head Locking System
The printhead is pushed on with two plungers. The location of the outer plunger must be
set to the width of the media used so as to:
–
Achieve even print quality across the entire width of the media
– Prevent creases in the feed path of the ink ribbon
– Prevent premature wear of the pressure roller and the printhead

Setting the head locking
system • Turn lever (3) clockwise to lock the printhead.
• Loosen threaded pin (1) at the outer plunger (2) with the hexagonal wrench (4).
• Position the outer plunger (2) above the outer label edge and tighten the threaded pin
(1).
The head locking system is correctly set up by default. The head locking system may
only be adjusted in exceptional cases.
