3.7 Setting up the writing function

As the first marker pen line can be thinner, the plotter has a writing function. The plotter first
of all writes on a marking preparation plate. Then it begins to mark.
Only activate the writing function if a marking preparation plate is in the holder provided for
this.
Replace the marking preparation plate regularly (CMS-P1-PREPLATES, 5145135).
Strongly contaminated marking preparation plates can dirty the marker pen.
• Pull out the marking preparation plate from the side.
• Slide the new marking preparation plate to the back, until the marking preparation plate
sits securely.
Activating or deactivating
the writing function
• Press the “Off” key.
• Simultaneously press the “Penstation open / close” and “ON” buttons.
After a short time, the “STOP” LED button lights up.
• Press the “Penstation open / close” button.
– “Penstation open / close” LED = flashes

Writing function is activated
– “Penstation open / close” LED = illuminates

Writing function is switched off
• To confirm the selection, press the “STOP” button.
If you switch off the plotter and then switch it back on again, the writing function is activated.
